advancingWe started off as a group of like-minded HR professionals who meet up periodically to discuss labour and industrial relations issues. Then, Singapore Institute of Personnel Management (SIPM) was officially registered with 34 members. Now, SHRI owns a strong network of over 3,000 members and represents the interests of 750,000 employees in Singapore.

For over 40 years, SHRI’s brand has become synonymous with professionalising the HR profession, standards and practices.  As an independent, not-for-profit professional HR body, SHRI has been advocating the development of appropriate standards of human resource management and development that reflect global conditions and interests of the workforce.

SHRI creates a comprehensive suite of events, conferences, seminars, dialogues and sharing sessions that serve as a springboard for corporations and individuals to find their own breakthroughs and transformations from discussions, exchanges, learning and networking. Our academic programmes and workshops are also customized to cater to the dynamic learning needs of the current workforce. SHRI aims to reach out to the different strata of the workforce, from the professionals, managers, executives, technicians (PMETs) to the mature and retrenched workers, and those who are in career transitions. SHRI seeks to provide them with the resources and avenues to enhance their competency and competitive levels to maintain employability.

SHRIAcademy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SHRI Corporation, offers a wide range of academic programmes from basic certificate to Masters levels, under its schools of Human Capital Management and Financial Services & Risk management. These programmes are positioned and aligned along fully integrated progression paths so that learners can attain their qualifi cations with optimised timelines. With strong and credible partners such as Edinburgh Napier University (UK), Macquarie University, Australia and Australian Institute of Management (AIM), SHRI Academy is committed to uplifting the quality of education programmes, while bringing in new programmes under its umbrella.

SHRI Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SHRI, plays a vital role in conducting corporate training, in-house and public workshops, and signature events. The various workshops, seminars and events focus on building capabilities to individuals and organizations by equipping them with key knowledge and skills in areas such as employability skills, employment laws in Singapore, talent management, leadership, OD, organisational psychology, personal productivity and innovation. There is also funding available for selected certificate programmes and workshops.
