Cyber Security Agency of Singapore

Established in 2015, the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) seeks to keep Singapore’s cyberspace safe and secure to underpin our Nation's Security, power a Digital Economy and protect our Digital Way of Life. It maintains oversight of national cybersecurity functions and works with sector leads to protect Singapore’s Critical Information Infrastructure. CSA also engages with various stakeholders to heighten cyber security awareness, build a vibrant cybersecurity ecosystem supported by a robust workforce, pursue international partnerships and drive regional cybersecurity capacity-building programmes.

CSA is part of the Prime Minister’s Office and is managed by the Ministry of Communications and Information.

Description

The CSA-National Cybersecurity R&D Lab Scholarship (NCLS) aims to drive and support the development of professionals in Singapore’s cybersecurity sector and support the National Cybersecurity R&D Lab (NCL) initiative. This scholarship (funded by the Cyber Security Agency of SIngapore (CSA)) will be awarded to qualified students who are enrolled in NUS’s Master’s programmes focusing on cybersecurity.

Application for 2024 intake is by invitation. Eligible students/applicants will receive an email invitation from us to apply.

Value of Awards

Tuition fees (after MOE Tuition Fee Grant) of NUS Master of Computing or related course programme
Monthly stipend of $2,000 (full-time students only), capped at 18 months
A project grant of $5,000 to the academic supervisors of the students’ cybersecurity projects or dissertations

Requirement/Conditions

This scholarship is open to students who are admitted into NUS Masters programme with emphasis on cybersecurity (full-time or part-time)

Students who are awarded the scholarship must:
Maintain their Cumulative Average Point (CAP) at average 4.0 and have good academic standing
Post-graduation, be employed at NCL for a period of at least 1 year, or embark on their PhD studies in a Singapore University, or be employed in Singapore’s cybersecurity industry for at least 1 year
