The Temasek Foundation Board and its Executive Boards share a strategic overview of our Charter and endowment mandates in strengthening social resilience, fostering exchange and regional capabilities, and advancing science and nature. Leveraging each member’s differentiated expertise and experience, the structure reflects the strength of diversity and synergistic collaboration across domains to meet evolving needs of communities in Singapore and beyond. Management executes programming strategies and regularly discusses funding, mobilisation and engagement performance with the Boards.

Description

The Temasek Foundation – G Muthukumarasamy Scholarship, Temasek Foundation – RKS Nachiappan Scholarship, and Temasek Foundation – Nithiah Nandan Arumugam Scholarship honour the legacies of three late unionists - Mr G Muthukumarasamy, Mr Nachiappan RK Sinniah, and Mr Nithiah Nandan s/o Arumugam - who believed in the value of education and advocated for lifelong learning.

Offered to students of all ages including mature students, these scholarships are offered on a merit basis to individuals from lower income backgrounds, who demonstrate academic excellence.

Value of Awards

Two components:
-Living expenses for the student recipient
-A family recognition award for one or more family members to receive, in appreciation of the role of families in contributing to the success of the student and/or other family members
No age limit for applicants
Tenable for the entire course of study, and renewable yearly subject to the recipients meeting the criteria

Requirement/Conditions

The scholarships are given based on merit and income criteria
Eligible applicants must be Singaporeans with per capita income of not more than $1,875
